2XU’S GLOBAL LAUNCH

How Click Convert helped engineer the successful expansion of one of the world’s leading sportswear providers

 

Incorporated in Australia in 2005, 2XU is a world-leading provider of high-performance sporting apparel. In 2015, they had ambitious plans to expand their market share in the US and Australia, as well as launching into new countries.

THE CHALLENGE

In 2015, 2XU launched a global site, expanding their reach into five countries. Click Convert were tasked with the setup and launch of their paid search campaigns across the UK, Canada and New Zealand, as well as the transition of their existing campaigns in the US and Australia. A strategy was required which would increase conversions while reducing the cost-per-acquisition.

THE APPROACH

The priority was on optimizing the paid search accounts, providing a strong foundation for the new website launch. Before the launch, Click Convert carried out an overhaul of 2XU’s current paid search accounts, optimizing the account to focus on generating more revenue while lowering the cost of each sale. To focus on the most successful campaigns and locations, budgets were reallocated accordingly. Retargeting campaigns were also set up, encouraging previous web visitors to revisit the site.

During the launch, Click Convert remained available around the clock. Traffic was directed to landing pages that could achieve a higher quality score, thus lowering the cost per click. We also worked to improve the quality of traffic that visited the site, ensuring a higher conversion rate.

THE RESULTS

2XU’s global site was launched in 2015, with Click Convert providing support throughout every step. The following figures show the performance of the accounts during the first 6 months of Click Convert’s involvement compared to the same period in the previous year.
